Matching a veil to natural silk dress...

My dress is Paloma Blanca 3860 (photos in bio)...I tried on veils recently and was originally planning to get ivory, since I figured my only color choices were white or ivory.  My dress color is called "natural", which is just the natural color of silk - kind of like an off-white. 

The Bel Aire Bridal veil I like comes in "diamond white" in addition to white or ivory, which is described as an off-white, and from what I've been reading online it sounds like you should get your veil a shade lighter than your dress.  I am just worrying it would be too white. 

Does anyone out there have a natural silk dress?  If so, would you mind sharing what color veil (and maker) you got?  It would be a HUGE help!

Ivory or maybe a very light gold might be your best bet.  Diamond white is still very white when compared to a true ivory.

I'm also getting a Paloma Blanca natural dress (style 4010 if you are wondering . The lady in the store told me usually people get ivory because it is better for the veil to be a shade darker than lighter. I guess it would be better if the veil looked a little bit dingy, versus the dress? I haven't actually tried it on ,but that is what the salesperson told me.

I also know Paloma Blanca makes veils. They are probably expensive but then you could get an exact match for the natural. Can you try on different veils when the dress comes in and then buy?

I just looked at your dress-- I LOVE it, especially the lace along the bottom. That's gorgeous. Is it a sweep train? I haven't seen how mine will bustle but yours looks great.

Thanks!  I love my dress :-)  Yours is really pretty too! 

It actually has a chapel train, and I'm doing a French bustle.  It also already came in!  I ordered it in July and it came in 2 months ahead of schedule in late November.  I tried on ivory veils a couple of weeks ago, but after seeing that the veil I want also comes in diamond white, I was of course questioning things! 

I did check out PB veils online, but none of them are the style I want, plus I hear they are wicked expensive!  (The one that matches my dress, which I didn't like for me anyway was $375 I think!)

Ha-- I was afraid of them being really expensive. I'm hoping to wear my sister's veil, which is ivory. I'll try it on when mine comes in.

BTW we were almost date twins. I had to move our wedding back a week because of a big college football game!
