attire help?

My colors are aqua blue and silver. I thought about the groomsmen can wear a white shirt with a aqua vest and bow tie and the bridesmaids wear aqua blue dresses. And i want the maid of honor and best man to match with silver and black. And the groom to wear a silver tuxedo with either aqua blue or black i am unsure need help.

Oh gosh *cringe*. This sounds like a bad 1990s prom look. Aqua on men=eeeew. Aqua (I'm assuming David's Bridal Malibu?) is just not flattering on grown adults IMHO.

Let your FI choose his and his groomsmen's attire. They don't have to match the bridesmaids exactly...
  • Ok thank you for the honesty. do you have any ideas?
  • Yea aqua sounds a little iffy... Also I'm not sure what is ment by a silver tux?! I would say just go normal black and white if anything maybe add aqua or silver pocket napkin thingy (don't know what it is called)

  • I do!

if groom wants a black tux: Go with silver vests for groomsmen, and silver tie. Have their blouts. use aqua flowers!

If he wants gray suits (its popular now and my guy is wearing the mens warehouse dark grey one). They can do an aqua (darker aqua) vest and bowtie. This way the contrast isnt so intense like it would be with black and aquea..

I definitely would have all the men in the same suit, but the groom has to match you! And if you want the BM to stand out, make their bout. a different color, give them a darker shade of aqua or a tie with a pattern. Subtle differences.

My DH wore a gray vest and tie and had the groomsmen wear black vests and ties all with black suits. They were all more comfortable in these "basic" colors versus something really bright.

You could have a small aqua accent flower or ribbon on the bouts, or like pp suggested, an aqua pocket square.

    Definitely avoid the matchy-matchy thing.

  • Thank you that sounds good. I was thinking the best man and groomsmen will wear bow ties and the groom wear regular tie.

Does your FI want his groomsmen to wear bowties? It's his choice, not yours.

In my DH's circle, bowties are considered cheesy and outdated. Leave it up to your FI.

Not all men look good in bow ties.

  • If you want your BMs to wear aqua shoes then you need today for them.

  • He said he wanted to stand out so i thought bow ties would help him stand out a little. He just told me hes not good with planning thats why im trying to figure this out. Anything i say he says sounds good. So im trying to get other peoples opinions
