non pierced ears

My ears are tiny...and I've never gotten them pierced...I've worn clip ons for special occastions, but they either fall off or are tacky looking...anyone know where to find a good selection of clip on earrings, or should I just go without????

Re: non pierced ears

  • I actually have pierced ears, but found earrings I love that are clip-ons. I'm still not 100% sure if I'll wear them due to the fact that they're SO strong they hurt! They're Charter Colony from Macy's. I think that you wear something on your ears even if it's something simple like small, elegant pearl studs!
  • If you don't like earrings in everyday life, then I don't see why your wedding ought to be an exception. You still want to be YOU on your wedding day.

I would skip the earrings, and maybe get an extra-nice necklace or bracelet or hairpiece instead.

  • I have had more success with screw-back earrings than with clip-ons. They can be difficult to find, though there are a lot of vintage ones available on ebay. It's also possible to buy screwback findings and use them to replace the hooks or posts on pierced earrings--it's what I did for my wedding.
  • I actually just happen to buy some new ones...PIB!
  • My MOH's ears aren't pierced either and we actually found a nice selection at Claire's in the mall
  • I was just at Kohl's the other day and saw some really nice clip on earrings...however I don't know well they will stay on your ears though. I have to agree with mcb though...if you don't normally wear earrings then why should you on your wedding day? :) I would invest the money that you were planning on using for earrings and put it towards another piece of jewlery...maybe even something you could wear more than just on your wedding day.
