2 dresses- help!!!!!

Hi ladies! I am a 2 dress bride, and I desperately need your help! I am going crazy trying to decide between the two!!!!!

The first dress I got while out shopping for fun with my MOH. I had no intention of buying that day, but loved the dress and went for it when the store offered me the floor model at 50% off! It's an Essense of Australia couture gown, and I was sure that that was the dress! The problem is, that was only 2 weeks after I'd gotten engaged (I probably jumped the gun ), and my mom was CRUSHED that she wasn't there when I got it.

So, here I am a few months later, and I've found another gown that I love. This one is a Demetrios gown, and the store is having a sale, so it wouldn't cost much more than the first. This time, my mom could be there, and I would get to have a new dress that's meant for me, instead of the floor model (which is missing a few beads, etc.)

I don't know which one to pick! Everyone else LOVES the first dress, but I think I like the second better! I also have to consider which one meshes better with my BM dresses and with the time of year of my wedding, which is October.  PLEASE tell me what you think- which one is a better fit with my girls/ dresses and a fall wedding/which one do you like better??? Thanks!!!!!

I think both of your dresses are beautiful.  I totally understand how you're feeling with you mom, but if you love the first dress, I don't know that that's a good reason to try to find another one.  There are plenty of ways that your mom can feel a part of the experience... have her go to your fittings with you and your hair and makeup trial.  Maybe you can go back to the first store with her, try on the dress and have her help you pick out accessories (veil, earrings, bracelet, etc.).  I understand her feeling like she missed out, but I also feel like it's a bit selfish if she's driving you to buy a new dress (and double your expense) out of guilt.  This should be a happy experience for you, not a stressful one.

If it was me, I think I would go with the first dress.  Yes, I get what you're saying about the second going well with your BM dresses, but I almost think it's too matchy match.  I honestly don't think that your dress needs to match the BM dresses.  You're the bride!  Your dress is supposed to be significant and the center of attention.  You can very easily tie everything together with having similar flowers in your bouquets... that will tie you all together too without it looking like you're basically wearing a different version of the same dress.

Aside from what I've said though, ultimately the decision is up to you and how you feel.  If you feel more special in the second dress, then go for it.  However, if you close your eyes and envision yourself walking down the aisle in the first dress, then I think that's what you should wear.

I think they are both beautiful. Since you're looking for opinions, I like the demetrios dress a little better, and I think it goes a little better with the bridesmaid dress (if you care about the styles being similar). That being said...I really think you should wear the one you feel the best in. I know for me...I tried on a lot of dresses...and there were a lot of them that I really liked and felt like I looked good in...but none of them made me feel like a bride...even with a veil. When I put on THE dress and looked in the mirror...I felt like I got punched in the stomach (in a good way..heehee). I immediately cried and got a flash of my fiance's face in my mind. Those are the things you need to look for. I know it's different for everyone...but I really think if you stop worrying so much and just listen to your feelings...you'll figure it out. Good Luck!

I usually say stick with the dress that you already bought, but buying right after getting engaged- and a floor sample to boot- is definitely not the same as ordering a dress and waiting for it, getting impatient and finding something else.

I LOVE the second dress. The first one is "ehh",  not my style but pretty. Second = amazing.

I agree with the others - I like dress #2 way better.  It's more interesting and unique.

Wear what makes you happy and comfortable.  Which one do you keep thinking about and get bufferflies over?  That one - is your dress.

I don't think the BM dresses need to match at all.  That's a personal opinion though.

MOH here, I just wanted to see what it looks like when I comment on one of these things, ha ha!! You're so stunning in both dresses, and they're both so awesome, but when you're in number 1 I just want to cry!  Plus your mom's already cried seeing you in it, dad was trying hard not to, it's just amazing. BUT, it is your call bride, and I know why it's so hard! My gosh I would have chosen a different dress every week if I could have. Hope the photos help. LOVE YOU!!

Both the dresses are beautiful. I personally like the second one better but it's hard to say without seeing them on you. That being said, don't choose one over the other because it will look better with the bm dresses. You don't want to dress around them..
