Hello, I don't post too much, mostly just lurk and the advice given is amazing and has helped in my planning a lot!
But this is about my FMIL. Her wedding was planned for September of this year to her Fiance of about 11 years. Unfortunately this past week things took a sad turn and her Fiance was in an accident and recently passed. There was no Will which left his eldest son as the Executor of the Estate.
I am aware in NH they do not recognize Common Law Marriage...I am trying to find out if she has any rights to anything at all (without her name being listed on any paperwork besides the house they own together).
Any information or direction in which to look in would be SO helpful.
