Dyed Shoes

Does anyone know any tricks to stop the color from bleeding. I ordered my wedding shoes died in watermelon pink and I dont want the color to be all over my feet or my dress on the big day! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

Re: Dyed Shoes

  • The bridal shop that dyed mine scotchguarded them twice. The did shrink a bit but they still fit just fine. I've been breaking them in and I've had no dye transfer to my feet. This sounds disgusting but I put them on after working out since my feet were damp to see if I'd get pink feet and I didn't. Although I'd be worried of it rains or if having an outside wedding just my experience so far.

  • I agree with PP, when I had mine dyed I sprayed them with a protectant spray.

Just so you know, it rained on my wedding day and I walked in damp grass. The only place the shoes bled on was my feet and it washed right off.

  • they told me to spray mine with like a sealant (water proof clear spray) and they wouldn't bleed. so yeah just ask the salon you bought them from what they would suggest.
