I'm going dress shopping for the first time tomorrow morning! I can hardly wait!! Because our wedding date is for 2012, and we got engaged in 2010, I told myself I'd hold off on looking until 2011. I was told by some people that you can never look too early (as long as you have a ring on your finger, haha), but I wanted to hold off for a little while. We've done some wedding planning already, but it's REALLY setting in that this is real!
Anyway, any tips for dress shopping??
Also, I'm starting out at a shop that I originally didn't want to go to, but in Sioux Falls we recently had a couple bridal shops close unexpectedly (brides showed up to pick up their dresses and the stores were empty!) so my choices are a little limited. I was apprehensive about going there because I feel like it will be terribly expensive, but they seemed nice over the phone when I made the appointment.
I'm also a little concerned because I'm not exactly "fit". My FI and his mother insist that I'm "thin" but lets face it, I wear a size 14 jeans. I just don't want to get my hopes up and not be able to fit into any of the dresses. Thoughts? I'm new at this.
