Dyeable Shoes

So I was planning on having my BM buy a pair of dyeable shoe in a style and price point they were comfortable at and then have a day were we all get together and dye our shoes... But on of my maids is concerned with the dye changing colors in the grass and looking bad (There shoes will be Yellow). We are getting married at my parents farm and the ceremony in the grass. Have any of you heard of this happening? Have you ever dyed you own shoes and had then turn out wonderful or bad. And what type/ brand would you recommend getting? I've never done this before and I want it to turn out well.

TIA

Re: Dyeable Shoes

  • I have never heard of them changing colors in the grass... But if it rains then it could wash out the color. I wouldn't worry to much about it! I am also have dyable shoes (yellow too!) I ordered mine through my bridal shop.. I was able to get a great deal on them. The ladies that were helping me told me not to worry about anything... they will be just fine! So don't stress... whatever you decide to do will work out great!
  • I was warned of this by the company I bought my shoes through. And some others have wrote about colors running and so forth. Thats why I bought a protective spray. One can should so all your shoes.
