Bustier under wedding gown??

Any of you doing this? If so, where are you going to look for yours? Going with my mom and sis this Saturday to look for one at Frederick's of Hollywood and Victoria's Secret. David's Bridal carries them but they are ridiculously expensive there.

Re: Bustier under wedding gown??

  • They are kind of expensive everywhere. I got a discount on mine at DB since i bought my dress there. Check out some of the dept stores, Pennys and a few others to see if they have better prices.
  • Thanks, I will do that...
  • the longline bra will make you stand up really straight and you will have less of the wrinkles that show in pictures, according to my seamstress. She was right, posture was much better with it on and believe me...I do not NEED the bra part!
  • I'd recommend finding one you like and searching ebay and other places for it. I got mine from ebay, new with tags, for nearly 1/2 off.

One thing to remember is look for fit and comfort over pretty. At frederick's sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the lacy and sexy, but remember you have to wear it pretty much all day, and the more details the more that may show under your dress. Buy a separate lacy thing to change into that night. ;D

    Good luck!
