Belt/Sash

Hey ladies... this is my dress:

I did not try it on with a belt and it didn't come with one (was supposed to but I got it half off on a "Monster Sale" on Halloween, so it didn't come with any of the extras). It is pretty without the belt, but now I'm thinking maybe I want one.

I just don't want to spend $150-$300 on it. I would like to keep it around $50 if at all possible, or even make my own maybe?

Any sites, shopping options, tutorials you ladies used and could reccommend?

http://gloryshouse.com/ has a ton of trim and appliques that could easily be made into a belt. It's much cheaper than buying one, and all you would need to do is add a closure (such as a ribbon) to the ends, or have it attached right to the gown.

I think this is a great idea.  I would definitley look around to see if you can find any thin beaded trim that you like and then ask your seamstress to tack it to your dress so that way you won't have to worry about it sliding around your waist all night.

You could buy some thin sequined ribbon like this:

Or buy plain silver or white/ivory ribbon and iron on some crystals
