Help! DIY Bustle

I have a knock off Alfered Angelo 1141 dress.

I'm trying to save money and do the bustle myself. I'm not really sure what I'm doing since I've never worked on a wedding dress before.

What do you guys think? Also hook/eyes or clear snaps?

I personally like the second one better.  It seems to blend in a little better.  Also, I would hook/eyes over the clear snaps.  Snaps could come apart really easily during your reception.

Agree about the second bustle and the hook/eye as well.

I like the first bustle better, but the hook/eyes def.

The second set of pics looks better to me. I would definitely do the hook and not snaps or buttons.

I like the first bustle better.

Instead of a traditional hook/eye combo for the bustle, my seamstress sewed small pearls on my dress.  Then she had a small beaded loop that went over the pearl.  I'm not sure that if this makes sense, but it was a pretty alternative and looked like it belonged on the dress and blended right in before I bustled it.

the second bustle looks a lot better to me. Id also go with ribbon or hook/eye over snaps.
