Champagne color dress...veil color?

Hi Gals,

My wedding dress is by Maggie Sottero "Emily".  The color is listed as "Champagne Mist" so I'm a little concerned about finding a veil to match.

I have a $200 credit to David's Bridal so I was going to take the dress & see if maybe Ivory will match up.  Anyone else have a champagne colored dress?  If so, what did you do for your veil?

My dress was a Sottero and Midgley and I ordered it in diamond white. I also went with a white veil which was custom made. It is really hard to tell how champagne colored it is, but I would say that an ivory colored veil would be fine.

I had Maggie Sottero Sabelle in diamond white and went with an ivory veil.  But my veil was birdcage so they weren't right next to each other either.  I would wait until your dress comes in and then purchase a veil when you can compare the two colors (if it doesn't have to be ordered?  I don't know how DB works).

I'd definitely take your dress in to DB and look, if you can.

I had an ivory and champagne dress and while I thought that I could pull off a white veil, when I put it together, it was noticeable so I had to get an ivory veil.

I have a Maggie Sottero dress that is champagne with diamond white lace overlay. White and ivory veils stood out too much IMO. I went with a latte colored veil that had pearl and crystal lining. I might put an ivory veil under it just to give it a little extra, but I want my dress to stand out, not the veil.

PS Everybody turns their nose up when I say "latte" but I promise it's not terrible!

i agree with hz80408..bring it to the DB to make sure you like the colors together..i think an ivory veil would look good but bring it just in case

We took a swatch of the dress to DB and the Ivory matched perfectly! We were able to use the $200 credit we had!  I think the color "Champagne Mist" is Maggie Sottero's fancy schmancy name for "Ivory". LOL
