LA Garmet District--budget wedding gowns???

Has anyone gone to LA garmet district to get her wedding gown?  I have heard you can really save $$, but as I research the garment district it seems very overwhelming.  Do you have any suggestions about specific shops to hit?  Do you have to have a retail license?  Will they let you try on the dresses?  Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated!

ive been there multiple times and it is hard to find a place that is not a wholesale shop. yeah the prices are very cheap, but only if you buy 15 dresses. i hope this helps

I actually just bought my dress in the LA garment district.  While there are many places that are wholesale only, there are a few places that sell single gowns.  It is very overwhelming and takes a lot of effort and patience, but it is worth it.  I got my gown at Moulin Rouge on Santee St for 550 after tax.  It is a beautiful silk satin gown with beading and french lace and a chapel train.  You can also try Trendy Too (which is right next to Moulin Rouge)--they have a larger selection of gowns, but the sales staff wasn't as nice as Moulin Rouge.  And most place will let you try on up to three gowns.  I recommend to go during the week, as it is less crowded.

do they also sell bridesmaids dresses? im having 10 so maybe wholesale would be the way to go.
