Outdoor wedding...low heels or 3 inch?

We are having an outdoor wedding. The last thing I want is to be sinking in the ground. I have found a really gorgous pair of 3 inch silver heels.

A few questions:
1) Is silver going to work with my dress : attached ... (I am wearing diamonds)
2) Should I perhaps try to find a small kitten heel with rhinestones instead?

3) How much does dying shoes typically cost?  These are dyeable.

I don't think those shoes are actually dyeable.  The brand is Dyeable but those are a faux leather rather than a satin or peau de soie specifically made to be colored.

As far as the heels go I know that these are frequently recommended http://thesolemates.com/
  • I think the silver will look fine with your dress. Definitely look into solemates or Starlettos. They are basically a clear plastic piece that fits over the heel and keeps it from sinking into the ground.
  • I am for some reason just really stressing about the color more than anything.  I know it is pretty individual but Dont think most brides should wear ivory?

I'd forego the heels and go with wedges, no matter how short the heel it is still going to want to sink in.  They make a lot of lovely wedges these days!  Kind of love these:

If you have to have heels, I might get some of these so that you don't sink in:

I think silver would look nice!  It seems like a lot of brides are wearing colors these days, so you definitely don't have to stick to ivory.  My shoes are covered with purple and silver sequins!

"Outdoors" in a manicured setting and "outdoors" in a park are different. Select your ceremony shoes for the terrain. I suggest sticking with low wide heels, flats, or wedges - you don't want a sprained ankle!  We had an outdoor wedding on a grassy hillside. I wore a vintage (1980s) pair of low block heels that fit me well and were comfortable. The BMs wore mid-height wedges.

If you really love the strappy sandals, change into them for the reception and dancing. Any color you choose is right, that is where brides can show a bit of spark. Silver would be pretty with your gown.
