Corset/Bustier for a smaller size

Hi everyone,

I just bought my dress last weekend, and now I'm looking for all the appropriate undergarments.  My dress is a ball gown silhouette, so I really want a tight hour glass figure on top.  The problem I'm running into is finding a good bra/corset/bustier to acheive this.  I tried on DB's Felina seamless longline with the dress before I bought it, but it felt too thick.  I'm a 36A and usually wear a size 4/small, so I don't need something with tons of support for the girls, but I would like something that will give them a little push up while at the same time cinching in my waist and smoothing out the belly button area, but that also isn't too thick . . . Haha, am I being too particular here?  Does anyone have any recommendations?

P.S.  The material of my dress is all layers of tulle, so I don't think I need to worry about the boning of an undergarment showing through.

Re: Corset/Bustier for a smaller size

  • I skipped a bra all together and just had the seamstress sew cups in my gown (I'm a 34B).  It was so easy and wonderful.

Get the cups sewn in, that's what I did and I'm a 36c and it works. It'll be cheaper than the bra and more comfortable. For the hour glass shape get a corset or spanx.
