I'm looking at getting a 1950s style cocktail dress with spaghetti straps and a poufy knee/tea-length skirt for my Hawaii beach wedding. I've been going back and forth on the skirt materieal ... mainly the skirt comes with a tulle petticoat, but I can't decide if I want the overskirt to be made of silk or satin or stay with tulle? I don't know which would be better for a beach wedding. Ideas?
