Choosing between 2 gowns, part deux!!

Follow up on my previous post:

Firstly, many of you asked if I've tried these on: Yes, but I've had to take the links down of me in the dress so the FI doesn't accidentally see them! (March 8th) So if anybody else sees this board now, PM me and I'll show you.

Miss Paris (I would want B&W, not burgundy)
Alfred Angelo (the bust is a bit saggy, needs to be fitted, no straps)

Secondly, I'm working on a list of Pros & Cons to help me decide! However I need some assistance deciding on some of the Pros & Cons (fail...).

1. Would B&W dress clash with emerald & gold theme?
2. Alfred Angelo dress is very popular, is this a pro or con?? (i.e. it could be good that a lot of brides like it, but bad that it's been worn many times)
3. Which is more wintery?
4. Which suits my venue better? (see link below)

  • That first one looks so much better on you.  Even if the second dress was fitted to you I still don't think that style looks the best on you.

  • Oh and I think either one will work for your venue.

  • I like both of them.. they have a different feel to them.. the first one is bold and beautiful and is something that is different and unique.. the second one after the fitting makes you look like a princess- its beautiful.
  • 1. Would B&W dress clash with emerald & gold theme?
No, I think it would look fine.  No one will compare your dress with your color scheme.

    2. Alfred Angelo dress is very popular, is this a pro or con??

This is a moot point for me, because I think the black and white dress fits you, BY FAR, so much better.  Even if the AA was fitted, it wouldn't be nearly as flattering as the first.
    3. Which is more wintery?
I'm not sure one is more wintery than the other.  I tend to think of winter weddings as more formal, just bc you need longer dresses for the BMs, heavier fabrics, etc.  The b&w fits that image better, for me.
    4. Which suits my venue better?
Either one owuld suit the venue.

The first gown looks stunning on you, and I don't think that it would clash at all.  The second gown doesn't seem like the best style for you - judging from the pictures, anyway :)

I think on the original post I chose the second one, but after seeing them on you I definitely think the first one is AMAZING!! So the first one is my choice  :)

  • I picked Miss Paris.

I do not think that they heart shape top flatteres your from Alfred Angelo. There is also something about the bodice that just seams off. The dress also weare you, it is too much.

The b&w dress flatterers your figure so much better. Also very pretty as well!
  • Not only does the Miss Paris (which I was not a fan of on the model in your original post) look better on you, you look happier and more confident in it. Either one would look fine in your venue in the winter, and either one is fine with green and gold. But if I were you, I would definitely choose Miss Paris. I would go so far as to say that the Alfred Angelo dress is not well suited to you. The shape of the skirt, the neckline, the waistline, where the detailing is - none of it works quite right on you. You look gorgeous in Miss Paris.

  • Black and white, black and white! It looks great on you and it's original. Either one suits the venue, but the b&w is cool, funky and it suits your style much better.
