Personalized Hanger

Hi ladies!

I've seen wedding pictures where the wedding dress is hanging from a hanger and the hanger has a personalized message (i.e. the wedding date, "bride", etc). Does anyone know how this is done - is it something alterations does for you?

Post about this on the DIY board or search around on there for other posts.  I did them myself and I think they came out great (pics in my bio under DIY).  You can also buy them, but you can do them yourself for much cheaper.

I made mine for way cheaper than what I found on Etsy ($20 each) - I made 8 for about $20.  I bought the hangers at Ikea because i liked the sturdiness of the wooden bar across the bottom.



Use aluminum wire (Michaels or a craft store), I used 12 gauge.  You can bend it with your fingers and needle nosed pliers to get them into the shape you want.

Going to order one for my friend who is getting married this summer!
