Spanx and a longline bra?

Re: Spanx and a longline bra?

  • Why the longline bra and not a regular strapless bra?  It seems like a lot of layers of fabric and it might get pretty warm (and also hard to go to the bathroom in).  JMO.

I think the longline would be more supportive.  I'm very busty.
  • I actually was thinking the same thing...but then i thought that id probably not be comfortable and too hot! so i looked on ideeli.com and its this site that you log on and register for free to buy designer things for cheep! i bought undergarments for ym wedding there..try a figure fit slip ...i bought mine and it had straps that you can wear any way or wear strapless! its great...and you can just get sexy white panties underneath Wink

  • I considered this, then I was like how will I use the restroom?

Spanx on first.... which are rather high...
Then my slip, which hits below the breasts...
Then a long line bra... sigh.

This just wont work for me... plus I'm getting my nails done, and I can never do anything with artificial nails on (however normally I just get the press-on's that I do myself lol, for the wedding I plan to get a prof. manicure).

  • The longline bra might be more supportive, that's true.  Does Spanx (or some other brand) offer a combo includes the bra and the slimming properties?

I'd be careful with that longline bra and many fabrics, since it has such large ridges that I'd worry it would add bulk and possibly show through thinner fabrics.  I know I've had 'uh-oh' moments with longline bras and slinky dresses in the past, where the boning is very obvious through the fabric.  GL!

  • I am very busty as well, (curses!) and I will be wearing a longline bra as well, but Spanx would just be a waste, I think, because of the full skirt. No-one will notice your slim and sexy thighs and rear under a hoop skirt. Just my opinion.

Oh, and to dispel any fears about being seen through your dress, you can get seamless ones.

    Hope this helps! Good Luck!
  • In reference to using the restroom... Spanx have a convenient little hole in which to use the bathroom. :)
