To spanx or not...

I am considering purchasing some spanx to wear under my dresses for Vegas. Not my wedding dress, just my cocktail dress and sundress's. My question is, are they worth the extra cost vs what I can buy at Target?

The target "Assets" brand is actually made by Spanx.  It's a "lower" quality, and in my experience, doesn't quite "suck you in" as well as Spanx..  but, becasue it has less "tuck and pull), it also is a little more comfortable than Spanx.

I think it really depends on how much "suction" you need.

I have both Spanx and Assets.  The Spanx stay in place and also hold you in.  Asssts I mostly use when I just need to smooth out my bottom half.  The only issue I have with the Assets is the thighs tend to roll or creep up and I don't have that problem with Spanx.

This has been my experience with both products as well.  I have not had the rolling issue with either product but if I'm not mistaken, the size charts are different and them being too small with make them roll more.

Just get spanx unless you want to be unrolling your assets after every time you sit. 40 for spanx vs 15 or 20 for assets. Just get spanx, the fabric breaths better, doesn't roll, and you wouldn't have to wash them after one wear. Assets are irritating high waisted panty hose to me. I'm a December Vegas bride and I'm bringing my spanx!!!
