Bustle help

Hey ladies.... So I bought the mori lee 3116 and I know for sure I want to bustle it for the reception.... But I know nothing about bustles, can you girls help with what type of bustle you would use on this dress??

Beautiful dress! You should really take it to a seamstress, she can probably give you several options to choose from with the design. Good Luck!

First off, congrats on the gorgeous dress!  There are 3 main types of bustles, over bustle (with one point attached to the skirt) a 3 point over bustle and an under bustle.  I think I would say an under bustle would look nicest with this dress but I also agree with kd.joseph that you should take it to a seamstress.  She would be able to pin it for you so you can see the different styles and then choose.

You could also possibly do a side bustle with your style of dress.  The fabric seems to flow around you so a side bustle may work the best.

But definitely talk to your seamstress before you set your heart on anything.

Yup.  My dress was designed to be a side bustle but since there was so much going on with the train (covered in crushed organza flowers), when they pulled it to the side to show me what it looked like I felt very lopsided so I just did a simple two point bustle in the back.  But I think with your dress a side bustle would look very nice.
