Shoes and Corset

I have googled and asked all over, and I will as you, those who have done the whole wedding and are planning just like me :)

First, I am not a heel person, I used to be, and I still like them, but my feet get sore fast, the front of my foot that takes all the weight, do the foot savers from like Dr scholls inserts, really work?

Additionally, for corsets, how do you measure for them?  I have seen a few different options and I would like to order one online and not have to return it because I ordered wrong :(

Re: Shoes and Corset

  • My longline bra is the same size as I normally wear in regular bras.  I don't know if that works for everyone, but it worked for me. Some companies have measuring guidelines on their websites, so check for that and get someone to help you measure before you order, if you can.

I can't do heels -- have a foot fracture that is still trying to heal, so I am very limited as far as heels go.  But, on the pair of dressy leather boots I recently got from Bass shoe outlet, the heel is probably 2.5 inches and I put just a simple ball-of-foot pad in the shoes and it really helps me make it through 4 hours on my feet.  And I didn't spend that much $$ on the foot pad -- I got the walmart brand of shoe insole inserts, cut out the part I needed, and put that piece in.  I think I paid $0.97 for the pair of foot pads, and now I actually can get TWO ball-of-foot pads out of the pair.  It helps immensely.

  • I decided to get flats.  I dont want to be measured for a dress with heals and then switch to flats and the dress drags all over.

Still stuck on the corset lol!!!
