Review of For Her and For Him - Online Bridal Attire Manufacturer

I read a post from last year about the online manufacturer For Her and For Him, but no one had any experience with them.  

Any updates?  Anyone familiar with this company?

I ordered fabric samples from them on 02/06/13, and the anticipated delivery date at the time I placed my order was about two weeks.  When that date came and went, I contacted the company.  

Here's part of their reply:   

"We are located in Hongkong and most of our suppliers stopped providing materials due to their Spring Festival holiday in February. But everything is okay now because we have stocked a large amount of materials after this. We promise that this won't happen again in the future."

To their credit, the samples were sent immediately, and I was given a partial refund.  The samples are large enough to really see and feel the fabric.  As you might expect and is usually the case, the colors online looked nothing like the actual colors.

I just ordered a dress from them for me to see what the quality is like.  It's a lot of money to spend just to see what the dresses are like, but I think it's better than getting 8 dresses that are not of good quality!

I will let you know how it turns out!

Red flag! Don't do it. A lot of brides have had horrific experiences with various Chinese dress websites, and no way to get their money back.

In case anyone else is considering this manufacturer, here is an update.  I ordered the "trial" dress.  It came promptly, the quality of the fabric is on par with that you would get at a brick and mortar bridal shop, and the dress was well sewn.  It fit me well.  The color of the dress matched the swatch.  Throughout the process, I emailed FHAFH, and each email was answered quickly.  

So, I have no customer service complaints or concerns about quality.  I just ordered my 8 bridesmaid dresses.  I'll update again when I receive those.

I am going to submit a review to FHAFH, too.  They did a good job, and they are not a rip-off manufacturer.

Thank you for this review! I'm also considering using FHAFH for my bridesmaid dresses and ordered swatches as well but I'm still on the fence about using the service so I'm looking forward to hearing how the additional dresses work out for you.

according to morliee its not listed and on the website for her and him they were started by people in california none of the stock photos look like they came from any designers website the backdrops are plain colors with the model on the dress

I'd also like to know how your dresses turn out. My college friend ordered her bridesmaid's dresses there and was happy with them. I'm planning on doing the same.

I got my fabric swatch a couple weeks ago. I went with Satin in seafoam green.

I ordered my wedding dress from FHFH and it arrived in the mail today. It is 14 days past it's reported delivery date with no explanation from the company. It was a bespoke dress and I had the measurements professionally taken.

The dress arrived and it was a disaster! It took two people to get it over my shoulders, once there the back was about 6 inches from closing. It was about 5 inches shorter than on their website. The neckline cut violently into my neck. It is, basically, unusable. DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR! It shipped direct from China in a plastic baggy, and while the quality and worksmanship looked okay, they obviously messed up the measurements to an extreme degree. I'm days from my wedding and no option but to go to the mall and try to find something. If you want a stress-free experience DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! Sorry, I'm all for understanding mistakes but this one isn't a mistake, it's a massive oversight and lack of quality control.

Noooooooo! This sucks! OMG!!!!! I don't think its a quality control thing. I think it's more of a they don't give a shit issue.

I will never understand why anyone would ever order a dress to wear on one of the most important days of their life from an online shop.  It's a once in a lifetime (hopefully!) experience and all eyes will be on you that day.....cut corners to save money on your flowers, centerpieces, favors, etc.....but don't cut corners by chancing it with an online retailer.

Hey, y'all!  Wasn't on The Knot for a while, so I am just checking in.  I ordered eight BM dresses, and they all came in after about a six week wait.  They let me ship two dresses out to BMs in WA and in AL, and the others came to me in GA--no extra cost.

All fit the BMs well; the quality was good for all of them. The attached picture is of the six that were sent to me.  I used four different colors--all light, neutral or blush shades.

I am very happy with them!  All of the BMs did custom sizes, and each dress fits beautifully!

 

The wedding is two weeks from today, so I'll have pictures soon!

We received the dresses from FHAFH, but they did not turn out as we expected. I immediately contacted customer service and they replied, promising me a full refund!!

DO NOT BUY! I just ordered five bridesmaids dresses from them in champagne. When they arrived they were pale yellow and the company refuses to give me any sort of a refund. When I asked for a number to try to talk to them in person, they told me that "we currently do not accept calls for after-sales issues". I am currently trying to go through PayPal to get a refund, but if that doesn't work out I am stuck with unusable, rather expensive dresses.

the reason your dress came in different from the website is those pictures this website has is all stolen from the orignial designers websites. they will take the photos and photoshop them a bit so it looks like they are photos of dresses they have made, which they have not.

they will then when you order your dress go back to both the front of the dress and back of the dress photos they have stolen to try and replicate the dress with almost 99% of the time they cannot get the dress to look the same..

you can always get the real deal at a discount from a real brick and mortor store or online such as rk bridal pearlsplace and pre owned wedding dresses

also check out bridepower.com aka as the show on tlc i found the gown they are located in newtown ma they have a store and all the gowns are listed on line. they have gowns as low as 200 and up with most being in the 400-800 range all designer samples from reps they work with and from traveling around the us and visiting local salons to get discontiued samples 

also a good place to see if the online store you want to purchase from is a fake check out morilee.com she as a beware part of her website that list a whole bunch of knockoff websites selling fakes

We ordered 3 dresses from forherandforhim in ‘barely pink’, the color is very lovely! When looking for the girls dresses, the biggest thing for me is I wanted them to look classy and elegant, the dressees turned out exactly as we expected, very vintage and elegant! The dresses came promptly too and the quality looked even better than those from a bridal shop. We had the dresses custom sized and they fit my girls perfectly.  The custom service was amazing too, they answered my numberous emails in a very quick and professional manner.  So I had a great purchase experience with this company.

No offense but I really don't think For Her and For Him is a Chinese Knock-off. They have a US customer service number online. The dresses might be made in China, but that doesn't mean that this company is a Chinese knock-off. I also noticed that a lot of their real wedderings were featured on big wedding blogs, like Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, etc. And on these blogs, you can find For Her and For Him listed as the supplier for the bridesamid dresses. I mean this cannot be lying. See below link:

From my personal experience, I am extreamly pleased with everything provided by this company, from the great customer service to the fast shipping and delivery and to the very well made dresses. So I would like to recommend this company to all the brides to be.

There's your warning.  
It's awesome you had a good experience.

Does it really matter where they are from? What I know is I am very happy with all my bridesmaid dresses ordered from this company and they have the most amazing customer service too.

Ordered a bridesmaid dress from For Her and For Him and we love the dress! It is every bit as beautiful as is shown on the site! Customer Service was very professional and helpful, delivery was quick too. I had a very pleasant experience here!

Yes, it really matters. Chinese sellers often sell counterfeit/"copied" gowns which is illegal. They also use poorer quality material and craftsmanship (hence the cheaper price).

It's risky to buy from them. Bottom line.

They might be a Hongkong company but they did a perfect job, at least for me and many other brides too. Check all those real wedding pictures from other brides, they cannot be lying.
