  • The only thing you may run into is that you are going to have to choose a secondary color on many different things; if you think about the flowers, the invitations, the tuxes, the ties, the flower girl dresses, the shoes, the table setting, etc. If you just like red, I think different shades of red or accents of white in the flowers, table settings, invitations, would be pretty easy and classic!

  • two color is good choice.
  • That is true, but we are not having a "traditional wedding." There are no flower girls, table settings, or invitaions. At least at this moment there is only going to be a best man and matron of honor. But Shades of red make sense for the flowers.

  • you will most likely need/want a 2nd or 3rd color -- just to break up all the red.  do a google image search for "red wedding" to get some ideas.

typical accent colors seem to be:
    gold/yellow
    silver/white/ivory
    black
    green

Not going to lie, I had 4 colors in my wedding, each girl wore the same dress in a different color, so I am partial to colorful weddings. That being said, I think if you can envision a single color wedding and it makes you tickle-y inside, then that is what you should go for. I could not pick one, and when I put them all together I got the feeling, you'll know it when you can picture your wedding in your head.

FYI if you're wondering what a multicolor wedding party turns out, here is a non-pro pic snapped from the audience:

  • I like red and navy together, I think it looks classy but it's a little more colorful than red & black!
