Due to a Kidney transplant, need hair/make-up recs!

So, I've had my hairdresser booked for a year or so now and we just found out that she's going to be donating a kidney to her sister.  Which is great, except that now I have to find a new make up artist/hair dresser for October 2nd.

I'm getting married in New Castle, so I'd like to find someone who could either come to the hotel, or a salon in Portsmouth that's good.

Any ideas?  I don't even know where to start looking and I feel like its last minute notice.

ETA:  just saw the post below about Southern NH so I'll look into those places too.  Also I remember there was a make up artist that a lot of people used on this board.  Candace something?

What a wonderful thing for her to do!  I'm so sorry it has to happen around your wedding though!

While I can't personally attest to the quality of their hair work, the Wingate Salon and Spa in Stratham does a LOT of wedding work, though I think they are a bit pricey.  FI and I go occasionally for massages, and their customer service is great.  I do not know if they will travel to your site, but they are only about 20-30 minutes out of New Castle.  You can check out their website at www.wingatespa.com

I used Candice and she was great!  I wasn't going to do a makeup artist, but I'm really glad I did!  :-)

Is Dover too far? I've heard great things about Statix Salon (Make up-Cassie) and Atajo Salon (Lisa- Hair) They both travel!
