BM Dress

So i only have one bridesmaid. My thought behind this, is she's my closest friend ever, and only having one will cut down on BM issues. I'm trying to find a dress that i love and that i know she would look great in.
We're having a casual/vintage-y, fall wedding. Colors are Sunflower yelllow, a mossy green and and bits of other fall colors.
I dont want her to look too much like a bridesmaid. I've been looking all over and cant find anything that screams her.
Any Ideas?

Have you let her shop for herself? That's what I let my girls do, and when they found a dress they all agreed on, they all ended up loving it and looking great.

If she doesn't have to match anyone, I see no need for you to select a dress for her.  Just tell her what you told us and let her shop for herself.  Remember, it doesn't need to be marketed as a bridesmaid dress to be worn as one.

I totally agree with the prior posters. My BM are wearing black, and even though I have 4 of them, they are all finding black dresses that are flattering to them that they will wear again. If you feel you want some input, shop together. If she lives out of state, ask her to look online at retailers like Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Penneys, etc, and email you links for things she likes so you can review before she purchases it.

Ditto pp. I don't see the need to stress and fret about you selecting her dress since there is only one. Let her do it and run it by you before she orders or buys it. And I think this would be so much fun and special not only to her but you as well.

I agree with above, let her pick it out and either send you a picture to confirm or go with her and let her pick something out that you also like

yep, look at other places. when they add the word 'wedding' or 'bridesmaids' prices can go WAY up.

you can always do a LBD she can wear again, but add a shash that goes with your colors.

have you asked her what SHE has wanted to do?
