Colored shoes with wedding dress?

Hello! My dress is ivory lace and it has an espresso ribbon around the waist.. I have seen a similar style dress with a black ribbon and the bride wore black shoes (it looked great on her!). What are your opinions on dark brown shoes? Have you seen it in person? I can't decide if I want them or ivory shoes to match the dress. Would it be too dramatic to see dark shoes peeking out when I walk or dance?? Thanks for the opinions!

I think brown shoes would be very nice. My dress is ivory and my wedding colors are black, red, and ivory. I am wearing red shoes with my dress. It'll be a nice suprise for FH to see them when I'm walking down the aisle and I love a kick of color.

Go for it!  I'm dyeing my crinny, so my shoes are staying silver or ivory.  But, if I wasn't dyeing the crinny, definitely would do the shoes, which is what I originally wanted to do!

I wore fuschia. I say go for the brown! Just think, you can wear your wedding shoes again after the fact.

I think these days, more brides wear colored shoes than wear white.  I'm wearing gold shoes.  Do what you like.

I love the idea of colored shoes.  I am going to be wearing Blue for my something blue and too match my bridsmaids.  Why stop there though I came across these these photos and loved the idea. My Fiance and his groomsmen are going to have a little fun themselves with colored socks.

DO IT GIRL!!

I am planning to wear the same shoes as my girls - navy blue.  That way I have my something blue and I thought it was a cute way for us girls to have a sense of unity on the day.  That being said I am getting 'nay saying' from the more traditional people in my family...but oh well it's what you (and I!) want to do...so do it
