I just bought dyable shoes at Payless. What a headache that has been! I was so excited when I first went in because on their dyable shoes display they had a shoe that PERFECTLY matched the color on my sash (Wisteria)! It was labeled as "Deep Purple." But the color on the board didn't match it at all. We talked to the clerk and we were thinking that maybe it dyed lighter. SO we ordered them in that color, in my size that fit me perfectly in the store (7 1/2 Wide). They came in about a week later. Excited, my mom and I went down to the store and what do we find...? The shoe is WAY darker than it is on the display! I mean, I ordered this medium like purple (the shoe was LABELED with the color I ordered) and it was a DARK purple. Not only that, but my foot wouldn't even fit in the shoe! Not like the other shoe was stretched out, but the other shoe had more fabric than mine did. They said that the place they order from may have different shoes than the ones we try on in the store. WHAT?! Okay, that's fine. So we ordered another color from the book and matched my color swatch to it. Almost perfect match. I order it in an 8 wide because the smaller size didn't fit. My arch won't line up with the shoe but maybe it will actually FIT on my foot. We get the sheos back in again two weeks later and AGAIN the color is wrong, only this time it's WAY light. Lavender instead of a medium purple. I was disappointed (still am) but I'm thinking that is the closest we'll get to the color (AGAIN, even though the shoe on the display is the color I want and is obviously labeled incorrectly in EVERY Payless we went to), but the shoes are still too small. I'm thinking maybe my foot swelled up. So I try the one on in the store on my left foot and the one I ordered with my right foot and the ones that were ordered really didn't fit over the balls of my feet! So now I'm trying to stretch it out in the freezer. I give up. Wish me luck!
