Favor question, opinions wanted

So, I thought Fi and I had decided on a candy buffet as our favors, but now I'm not so sure.  We were hoping to avoid the random junk to sit on a shelf category, but our families seem to expect that.  We like the candy buffet because it's pretty, interactive, and "disposable."  However, I recently saw someone who gave custom dice.  I LOVE, LOVE this idea.  FI and I met at a game store, we're giant gamer geeks, as are half of our guests, whom I'm sure would love to get dice.  However, the other half of our guests just wouldn't get it.  Would it be ok to do 2 different favors? Dice for our friends and candles (or something else more traditional) for the non-geeks.  Is this too weird?  Would people feel like we were judging them by "assigning" the favors?  Would it be better if we just kind of made a pile of favors for them to pick out their preference?
Any opinions appreciated.

i think just stick with the original idea of the candy bar...if your family and other friends are expecting old fashioned favors, then poo on them, candy bars are all the rage and i bet they will end up loving it!  also, i do not think it is the best idea to give out two dif favors or to have a pile of favors for people to chose from.  stick with the candy bar, i think it is great and looks so good and people will really love it.  maybe give the dice to your wedding party, whom i assume are your closest friends that love gaming??

I agree with PP. A candy bar is something EVERYONE will love. We had people go up to the candy bar multiple times. We even had guests fill up boxes to bring home to their kids. It was enjoyed by all. Also, you may think you know who would prefer dice over candles but you would hate to have "hard feelings" between guests who may feel they got the "lesser" favor.

I do really like the idea of getting the dice for the BP.

I would stick with a candy bar. JMO

I like casinos and gaming, but as a guest, I'd get more use from a candy favor (could just be the pregnancy talking).  I'm sure your guests will appreciate either.  I wouldn't go with multiple favorst thoguh -either all dice or none.

I agree with Gabs. Having different favors would be a little weird but I think they would be perfect for the BP.

Thanks a lot ladies.  I think I knew this in my head, but needed to sort of hear it.
