What veil for my dress??

Hey Ladies!

I'm not sure what veil I want to wear with my dress. I don't have pictures of me in the dress but below is a link of my dress. I plan to wear a rhinestone sash at my waist with my dress and possibly a very tight bolero that resembles straps more than sleeves (this would be for the ceremony only). I was thinking a bird cage veil, because my fiancee loves them, but I also love a blusher type veil...I know its old school but I find it romantic. But really I am open to any suggestions to what would look best with this dress. www.alfredsungbridals.com/stylehtml/6821.html">

Re: What veil for my dress??

  • That dress looks vintage-esque to me and I think it would look fantastic with a birdcage.  I think it would be ok with a blusher, but it wouldn't be my first choice.  Then again, I don't like blushers, period, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

  • I think it would look nice with an elbow or fingertip length veil.  I wouldn't go any longer because of the design on the skirt.

  • I agree with jagore. I see what dramageek is saying, but don't think it is that vintagey. I think an elbow length veil would be perfect.

But the best advice would be to go in and try different styles on with your dress (if you can) so you can see what you like. You are the bride and will be wearing it, so go with what you want.

    This.

It's so hard for us to tell from pictures, and what we like may not be what you like.  Definitely go in to a store and try on tons of different veil/hairpiece/tiara/birdcage/flower options with your dress so you can see what YOU like.
  • Thanks ladies for the great advice. I definitely would not want to be in a predicament in which I did not want to wear my veil the day of.
