XP: JCrew sizing

Hi Ladies,

I'm a plus sized gal and working on losing for the wedding. I LOVE the J Crew dresses and am wondering if they are true to size or are they sized smaller like traditional wedding dresses?

Anyone know?

i've never tried on a wedding gown from j. crew, but i have tried on their bridesmaid dresses, which fit true to size.  i would have gotten the same size in their bridesmaid dresses that i would have bought in any dress.

Same here.  I got the Sophia BM dress in silk tricotine recently and it fit just like my normal size.  However, I will say I personally think their dresses are made for non-busty girls, so I'd definitely recommend trying on the dress before you buy.  Or, if you order online, you can always return to the store.

Yes, they are true to size.  I have an Avery bridesmaid dress from a few years back. I am medium busty (36C, size 10), and I actually had to get it altered to fit a little tighter to the girls.  No bra that way! 

I LOOOVE their dresses.  I will be ordering some soon for my gown  try-ons.  I love the Dune.  Good luck!

I actually just ordered my wedding dress from jcrew. Its weird, I barely fit in a size 4 in most wedding dresses, but when I got my jcrew dress yesterday the size 4 was WAY too big. Like, slid off my body too big. So i reordered the next size down today.

Did any of you end up getting a J Crew dress and what did you wear under it? The whole clingy silk thing is giving me headaches...
