Having 2 MOHs how to make them stand out w/o them looking like they don't fit.

I will be having 2 MOH due to my FI has 2 Brothers and doesn't want to pick one over the other. I was thinking to have my MOHs in knee lenght dress and the other 2 BMs in floor lenght. What would be the best way? I need some Ideas. thanks girls!

  • I only have one maid of honor, my sister. But while all of my bridesmaids will be in knee length dresses hers will be floor length. She asked if it was ok because she doesn't like her legs, and it worked out. I would ask what length they prefer on themselves.

Other brides will sometimes add a different colored sash, or some type of extra brooch, pin, or decoration to the dress to make them stand out a bit.
  • One idea I saw recently was to have them wear the inverse of the BMs. Like, instead of a pink dress with a black sash, they could wear a black dress with a pink sash.

Personally, I don't think they need to stand out at all. They'll be standing closest to you, which conveys their position, plus it doesn't really matter! But that's just my opinion.
  • I have 2 MOHs too. I think I am going to put a special brooch on their bouqet and they will be having different bouquets than the other girls.

When I was the MOH in my BFFs wedding I wore a strapless dress while the others wore a different one with sleeves.

  • I am a MOH, and I am only having one MOH - but I have to agree with a lot of the ladies on here ... I do not see the need to make them stand out  {having a diff. color dress}   I could see maybe a different length, but nothing more. Although, adding a brooch or a diff. boquet should be well enough (just to show your appreciation of them being your MOH)

but just like padburcd, everyone can tell from the placement of the girls.
You are the one that is standing out - I wouldn't go to the extreme about any of the bridal party besides you and your FI. Smile
  • I also have 2 MOHs and 2 bridesmaids...I didn't want it to look weird that half of my girls were in one dress while the other half were in the other, so I actually didn't do anything different for the MOHs.  If you wanted to do something subtle, you could always add a sash or something in their hair or maybe a different bouquet

  • I'm having a Maid and Matron of honor but I have all the girls wearing different black dresses.  So to make the MOH's stand out they will have different bouquets than the rest of the girls.  Different jewelry would be another option too?
