Online dress shopping???

Has anyone ever bought a dress online? 

I tried one on in a store today and it was very nice, but expensive.  I looked it up online and I can get it for 25% of the price. 

I live in Canada and the website is American.

Has anyone done this? How was your experience? Good idea? Bad?

Usually they aren't that good of an idea but like CMG said, we'd need to know which website it was.

I used JaysBridal.com (a brick and mortar store in Gainesville, FL).  Others on here have used Pearl's Place, RK Bridal, and Netbride.  They are authorized retailers of the dresses they sell.

My FSIL bought her dress online. I'm not sure which website though. She did the same as you, tried it on the store and then bought it online for a cheaper price. It was just as beautiful when it arrive and she was really happy with it. I'll have to ask her which website she used...

Honestly, whatever happened to shopping locally?  And realistically, shipping will cost you more than your 'savings' ultimately - it'll be considered international AND you have to pay import taxes.  Not a good idea....JMHO
