Maggie Sottero Victoriana - How to poof it up?

Hello!
I bought my dress off the rack in March 2010 and we not getting married until May 2011. I left it in the bag so it would not get dirty.. I recently tried it on and it is flatter than it was when I got it. The bridal shop just told me I should have left it out of the bag!

Anyone have any advice on how to fluff it out again? It has large pick-ups - Maggie Sottero, Victoriana

  • Presumably it will need pressing before the big day?  I would take it to the bridal salon a month or two before the wedding, get them to fluff it and press it and store it until a few days before your wedding when you can bring it home and hang it free out of a bag at your house.
  • Definitely take it in to be pressed, if it's still not big enough ( I wanted my Maggie "poufier too) than try adding more crinoline in the slip (or just a more full one) and maybe a hoop skirt? That's what I did, beautiful dress BTW!!!
  • Try a larger crinoline?

  • Definitely have it steamed (to get any wrinkles out) and pressed before the big day. That should do the trick. And/or you could try a different crinny.

Btw - I love your dress. Maggie dresses are so beautiful and affordable. I was a Sottero and Midgley bride, but the Maggie was my second choice.
