I'm getting married in April 2013 at White Point Garden in Charleston. I'll be walking on grass and gravel at the ceremony. The reception will be at my parents' home so I'll be walking on grass
and dirt then. My dress is a lace and tulle mermaid/modified a-line by Enzoani and I'm having a rough time deciding what shoes to wear. I'd love wedges or at least something with a thick heel so walking is easier and I don't sink into the ground, but I want something that goes with the dress. The ceremony and reception are both slightly informal and my dress is the most traditional thing about the wedding, so something a little less formal than normal would be fine, I just don't want to down play the dress too much. Also, purple would be awesome. Any ideas? I have a link to a picture of me in my dress and a couple shoe ideas on here, but what do you ladies think?

They aren't a true purple like the ones you posted, but I've always liked these: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/lulu+townsend+blossom+wedge+pump?prodId=247534&productRef=SEARCH
Also, if you truly want a heel, but are worried about walking I can tell you I wore fairly skinny heels for my outdoor wedding, and didn't have any trouble at all.
[QUOTE]You have a beautiful venue! But H and I honeymooned in Charleston, so I may be biased :) They aren't a true purple like the ones you posted, but I've always liked these: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/lulu+townsend+blossom+wedge+pump?prodId=247534&productRef=SEARCH Also, if you truly want a heel, but are worried about walking I can tell you I wore fairly skinny heels for my outdoor wedding, and didn't have any trouble at all.
