I went dress shopping today for the first time. I was so sure that it would probably take me forever to find my dress, so I went definitely not expecting to find the one. I also was positive that I would want a simple, lace dress, so of course those are the ones I picked to try on. I definitely found some I liked, but there were no earth-shattering, heavens parting moments...which just made me even more sure that it wasn't happening today. Then, at one of the places, the girl who was helping me said "Let me go pull one for you that I think you should try on." When I saw the dress she came back with, I thought "WHY did you bring me this? There's no way." But, I tried it on. Best. Decision. Ever. I LOVED it, and definitely had that moment. So, against all of the things I was sure of, I actually did end up with a dress today AND it definitely does not look like anything I thought I would want...at all. But it's PERFECT for me!
I was just so excited, so I had to share! I'm not sure if I'm going to have a veil since the dress makes such a statement on its own. I may just do a barrette...or a simple, short veil.
