Wedding Colors

I keep changing my mind on colors.  My wedding gown is ivory with some mocha around the waist.  My original colors were/are Coral, Fuschia and Salmon.  Now I'm considering Black bridesmaid dresses with Coral, Fuschia and Salmon Flowers  OR Mocha, Coral or Peach colors.....help!!???

Re: Wedding Colors

  • I am not sure how light mocha is.  Mocha and black would only coordinate if there is sufficient contrast.    Pale brown is flattering on many skin tones and would be lovely with salmon and coral flowers.
  • Are you talking about the colors for your flowers or are you actually going to have 4 different colors in your wedding? I feel like 4 colors is a lot to incorporate and people may get lost in figuring out what your wedding colors actually are. If you have mocha in your dress I'm not sure I would put the bridesmaids in a neutral color like black unless it's the same color as the neutral mocha in your dress. Pictures of the colors (and your dress) would help to figure out exactly which shades you mean.

  • I had three wedding colors: ivory, chocolate brown and hot pink.
My dress was ultra white, so I had the chair cover ivory as well as the tablecloth, so in the pictures where I´m close to the tables, my white gown doesn´t blend with them, instead it pops out.

I agree with having 4 colors is too much.

Stick with the mocha, coral and ivory, I think that´d look lovely!
It doesn´t matter if you have other shades of orange/pink in your bouquet... you don´t have to put it everywhere!

  • This picture doesn't do the dress justice - but the color is Ivory with a Champagne on the waist.  The one I tried on was Mocha, but it looked more like Champagne.  Do you think Coral and Pink Bridesmaid dresses will be okay?  I thought about doing flowers with the same colors, but maybe I should stick to all Ivory color in the bouquets???  Thanks for your input!!

  • That shade is very light so black would be fine.  Coral and pink also would be fine.
