Necklace or no necklace with strapless gown?

For those already married, purchased all our accessories, or just about at the alter, and have a strapless gown...

Did you get a necklace or not?  I know the earrings I want to get and even a bracelet I can live with, but haven't been able to find a necklace I like (all sets I've looked at I haven't liked either).  I've looked at so many albums and there are definitely times when certain photos of the bride are taken and you can't see the bodice so the bride just seems so bare without a necklace.

I'll at least be wearing my hair down, so that's one vote leaning away from wearing one if I can't find one.  Just curious what others have done.

My gown is strapless, but has zero beading/glitz on it.....so I feel that in itself plays a big role on whether or not you wear a necklace.  I am wearing my grandma's pearls.

Does your dress have beading/crystals/gems near the neckline at all?

My dress is strapless, and I was originally going to wear a necklace, but changed my mind...I really love the neckline of the dress and felt the necklace took away.  I'm wearing dainty pearl/crystal earrings and a really sparkly statement bracelet instead...feel free to check out my bio for pics!

My dress is strapless and I'm wearing a simple 16in pearl necklace . I also have simple drop pearl earrings as well. I never don't wear a necklace, so it wouldn't feel right for me to not wear one even on wedding day. I thought it fit really well with it.

I wore a necklace.  What do your earrings look like that you plan on wearing? If they're on the smaller side, I would say wear a necklace. But if they're big chandelier earrings, then I would say not to.

My dress is strapless with lots of beading & sparkel on the bust. I still plan on wearing a simple pearl necklace that belonged to my FI's grandmother. I think I'll purchase some small pearl & crystal earrings to tie it in.
I would feel naked without a necklace on but thats just me.

I have a strapless gown that is mostly plain satin. I will be wearing some kind of pendant necklace.

If you decide to wear statement earrings, do not wear a necklace. If you are wearing simple drop earrings or small diamonds and pearls, it also looks nice to wear pearls or a drop necklace. I just really have a pet peeve against chokers. I really don't understand them.
