Hey everyone! I am getting prepared for my first fitting and need some under garment opinions.

I think I would like to have cups sewn into my dress instead of having to wear a strapless bra. Has anyone ever done this? If so, where did you get them from? And I would like to get a lot of "lift" from whatever I end up wearing. Will cups do that?

Also, where is the best place to purchase spanx? I am not wearing them for sure but I might want a little something just to suck in my lower tummy a bit.

I'm not sure on the Spanx question, but I had cups sewn into my dress. I got them from the bridal shop where I purchased my dress and had all of my alterations done. Most salons that do alterations have cups available. I don't know how much they "lift" though as I'm very small-chested, but I have a couple of pictures in my bio if you want to take a peek.

You can purchase Spanx at Nordstrom. 

Also, for about $20 cheaper, you can get some at Target (I can't remember the brand), but I have a pair of these and they work great! I do recommend going up a size if you don't want to cut off your circulation. And they get hot. I plan on wearing them for the formal photos and come reception, I am getting rid of them, so I can actually eat my cake!

I'm having cups sewn into my dress, I'm pretty small chested though, so I don't know about the lift.  I looked at Nordstrom's for Spanx but actually ended up just ordering them online from the website.  And on that note, anyone have recommendations on the different styles?  I never knew there were so many options when it comes to "shape wear"!

Spanx can also be purchased at some TJ Maxx stores, Lane Bryant, and many other department stores.

I got something almost exactly like Spanx at Macy's.  They're EVERYWHERE.
