I want my shoes to match my bridesmaids dresses which are fusia. I've heard about dyable shoes, but I'm not sure exactly how it works. If I buy dyable shoes, where do I send them to get dyed?

THANK YOU for asking this question- I was seriously just thinking this 5 minutes ago.  I know DB will only dye their own shoes and since I didn't get them there- I'm at a loss   Lets hope someone can help us out

There are a couple internet companies- when I was considering dyable shoes, I just googled it and found a few different places that would sell you shoes and would dye shoes.

My local cobbler dyes shoes.   Unless you get a decent quality, they can stain your feet though.

Rather than asking your BMs to buy expensive shoes that they will only wear once, why not suggest they wear strappy high heeled sandals in some metalic color.  I think almost everone over the age of 13 has a pair and they will thank you

The davids near me will dye any dyable shoes. Give your db a call again.

I see signs in dry cleaners all over town that to shoe cleaning and repair - you can see if they dye as well.

warning: go to Payless for dyables and they will leak color and kill poor bridesmaids feet.

There is a site online called shoestodyefor.com that is an actual store in Mass that has a mail order component.

Yes, they dyed shoes can bleed and that's a risk you take, but if you plan on wearing them inside and not walking out in the rain, you should be fine.

I once had shoes dyed by a bridal shop... I just gave them a swatch of the fabric.  If they get wet, the color will run though.  Try taking a fabric swatch to DSW, Macy's, Nordstroms, etc to see if you can find a pair match or are pretty close.
