Holy Crap!!

So I am pretty bored my last hour of work so I decided to google my name (I'm weird and bored) and I started noticing that all my info comes up. Like where I live, how old I am, and who I am related to. I think that is pretty creepy. I think it is strange that you can pay some website 40 dollars and they give you all the info you need to steal someone's identity!

Sorry I am just appalled by this, this is so nutso!!

Yup.  Its very scary actually. Now just think how easy it is for people to get your banking info online..... and no I'm not a paranoid psycho.. I'm just sayin''

I know right...it is so scary!

i google witnesses, plaintiffs, etc. all. the. time. In fact, most people I deal with at work, I google. You wouldn't believe the stuff I find, and how easy it is to find.

When I worked at the DA's office, we used to Google people, too. And use that info. It's pretty terrifying how much info is out there.

ugh. My aunt's obituary from last summer comes up. That's depressing. 

Also, why the heck does all our registry info show up? Is that just me?

I've done that before too and gone through and gotten rid of eveerything I could.

I google myself every now and then and rarely find any information. When I do, I figure out why it comes up and then get it removed/hidden. I don't like the idea of my clients googling my name and finding a picture of me doing a keg stand in college!

My name is too common for me to really mind what comes up. It would be very difficult for people to know which is related to me vs. some other girl with my name. I think my married name is about equally common, so I'm not too bothered.

I am a little freaked, on the other hand, at the level of information Google the company has on me. They surely know all my bank account numbers, addresses I lived at over the past 6-7 years I've had gmail, etc.

I KNOW! Last week my students were working on their project and one of them decided to google my name. Guess what came up? Our engagement pictures! I was horrified at first, there were some pictures that I didn't like- some awkward pictures and KISSING pictures! Haha but ugh our photographer put them up on his website. I would have been okay with it if our names were not included.

I don't like this at all- We gotta be careful with what we post on the internet!
