Maggie trunk show

Hi Ladies!  I noticed on the Maggie Sottero website that there are a couple trunk shows coming up that are within a two hour drive for me.  I'm wondering if anyone has been to one of these and can fill me in on how it works.  If I find a gown during the show that I like, would I need to buy it on the spot?  I'm wondering if I could instead order it from a store that is closer to me that carries Maggie gowns but doesn't necessarily carry that particular dress.  This seems like a great opportunity to see all the dresses, but it might be a pain to buy my dress from a store that is two hours away when it comes time for alterations and things like that.  Any advice would be appreciated :)

Re: Maggie trunk show

  • I have never been to a Maggie Sottero trunk show, but I am sure you could definitely buy the dress from an authorized retailer/bridal shop in your area. I was a Sottero & Midgley bride and bought it from a local store. I was able to try it on in the store, but know they also had a catalog from which I could order. Btw- I just love their dresses.

I would assume Maggie Sottero is the same way since they are the same company, just different lines. So, if you went to the trunk show, found the dress, make sure you write it down or take a pic so if you decided to go through a local shop, you could.

As far as alterations go, you do not need to get them done at the place you bought the dress. You can have them done anywhere, esp if you have a family seamstress already.

    Good luck!
