Red Shoes?

Thoughts of wearing wine colored shoes (that match my BM dresses) with my champagne wedding dress? The wedding is in December with a lot of holiday themed ideas...my dress has a pretty big skirt to it.

Our colors are White, Black and Red. I am wearing red shoes in sort of a burlesque style. My bride'smaids dresses are tea length and they all want to wear red shoes as well. i think it's great!

If it were me I would probably go with all white (or champagne in your case) since champagne itself is such a specific color and can combine with wine, but not if it's only your shoes. If you were doing a bouquet that had the wine incorporated I could see how that would be interesting, but for posterity's sake I might opt to look timeless. My sister made a point to me the other day that you might want to consider. As much as it's nice for everyone to be coordinated and look like they are one thought, it is your special day and it might be nice for you to stand out alone from them. This way you and your fiance are the center of attention as it should be. Sorry to disagree, I thought you might appreciate some other thoughts.

I think red shoes would look fabulous with your champagne dress! Go for it! :0)

My wedding colors were dark purple, hot pink & lime green and I wore dark purple shoes under my ivory gown. It was fun and lots of people commented on how much they loved the shoes.

I am wearing an ivory colored dress and really wanted to wear red shoes because that is what my BM's are wearing BUT......my mom said that because my dress if chiffon, I shouldn't. If I had a bigger skirt, it would be fine but not with such a flowy dress. So...wear them for the 2 of us!!! Great idea!!!!

I love the idea of wearing colored shoes under your dress. It's fun & unexpected...not that anyone can see your shoes anyway. :P Besides you're more likely to find a reason to wear colored shoes again after the wedding than cream/champange colored ones. I'm all about the re-wearability.

I'm wearing dark red/cranberry colored shoes with my white dress...they only peek out every so often, and I think I'll have more use for red shoes down the road than white ones...plus they're fun!!
