Weddding Dress SCAM???

Hey Knotties,
I think I've found THE dress!!! But I'm not sure if the website is legit or a scam. Have any of you heard or have bought a dress from foreverweddinggown.com ?
Please comment with ANY input!!!

It's a chinese knockoff site. Don't do it. The first dress I saw was a Maggie Sottero and they were asking barely $200.00 bucks. Maggie dresses go for $800-$2000.00 easily.

You will be getting a knockoff, replica gown, if you get the gown at all. And in most circumstances, they don't look anything like the original dress, and they certainly don't use the same fabric quality.

PS. If you think you found your dream dress... try looking on used dress sites, like recycledbride.com, preownedweddingdresses.com, oncewed.com. Make sure you try it on first at a salon somewhere though... bridal dresses are sized VERY differently than street clothes. You will need to know what size you are in the actual dress, not what size you normally wear.

I think the only positive thing about that website, is that it actually lists the designer and dress name that they are ripping off. At least it should be easy to find.

You can NOT find THE dress online! My grandma has owned a bridal shop for 29 years and I'm only 22 but I've been around the industry long enough to know that. It never looks the same in the picture with the model as it will on your own curves. Bridal gowns are something you have to try on. They don't look the same on the rack either. My PERFECT gown was a mix between 2 that I was torn between and originally I didn't even like it on the hanger but being that I've been around it I'm like "alright let's try it"...the sample in the store was white NOT ivory and about 6 sizes to big but I saw enough of it on me to know I wanted it in a 6 in ivory. It just came in yesterday and I'm sooooooo glad I took the chance and ordered it but I had had it on my body before placing an order.

Please, be careful with ordering online. We have heard a TON of horror stories about brides ordering online only to get it in a horrible fabric, not the right color, wrong size (bridal gowns fit very differently and even vary by brands), bad bead work, or didn't get it at all with no response from the "company". In any event, the savings you think you're going to get could be a total waste of money and then you'd have to go to a bridal shop anyways.

I can vouch for what you love not being what you buy. I fell hard for a Justin Alexander lace dress with a mermaid tail and mandarin collar. I looked so terrible when I finally got it on.

Ended up with a chiffon, grecian, blingy Maggie Sottero. It was never even on my radar as something I wanted. Exact opposite, actually.

You can certainly get ideas by looking online, but then go and try on the dresses that appealed to you. Also, as others have suggested, be sure to try some styles and fabrics that you wouldn't have thought were "you." You might be surprised.

Thanks knotties!!!! I didn't find THE dress onlline. I found it in a bridal boutique in town, and searched for better prices online, and I came across the foreverweddinggown.com website. I will attach a picture of the dress, and a link to the bad website as well.
