Dress advice needed - countdown is on!

So, like most other brides I'm reading about, I purchased my wedding dress about a year before my wedding. I'm 72 days away and I just found an amazing dress at the same store for a much better price and it just speaks to me. I love the dress I bought, but it wasn't my first choice. Since I've had it for so long, I'm not sure the store will let me return it in exchange for this dress, and it's also a lot cheaper. My mom and sister (who is also my maid of honour) have looked at the dress as well and both agree it suits me better than the one I purchased already.
I don't know what to do if I can't return my previous dress! I'm not sure I'll get the value for it if I try to sell it online. The previous dress hasn't even been altered yet!

You wont get the same value for it if you try to sell it online, but if you keep double guessing it, maybe its worth it to buy the dress you love better.

Have you even tried it on yet? You should take your old dress and go in and try on the new dress and then try on the original dress. If you still can't imagine getting married in anything other then the new dress then you know what you want to do, its just a question or if its an option money wise.

You can try to sell your original dress on weddingbee.com or the the knot classifieds or ebay for a little less then you bought it for.
  • Thank you!! I did go to the store and try on the dress, and yes, it looked fabulous, but I decided to stay with the dress I purchased. The store was actually quite rude to me when I explained my situation, and they did have a dress available in my size, but it was ivory. The dress I purchased is white, and all the details of my wedding have revolved around me having a white dress. It would have been cutting it too close if I ordered the other dress in white and waited for it.
I appreciate your advice, though, and thanks for taking the time to respond!
