Donating to brides in need??

Hello ladies,

Do any of you know of an organization where I can donate my dress after the wedding?  Maybe an organization that helps military brides in need or someone needing a helping hand ...

Brides Across America is an organization that helps military brides find the dress of their dreams.  You can find information on donations here: http://www.bridesacrossamerica.com/Donations.html

It also looks like they're based out of MA, so depending on where you are there may also be an opportunity to volunteer

Brides Against Breast Cancer.

They collect the donated dresses and  travel across the country having sales events in which the proceeds go to breast cancer research.

The brides against breast cancer is cool.  I am actually going to their sale in boston tomorrow.  My friend is also getting married so we are going shopping for her.  All of the proceeds go to research.

This. The money actually goes to a stage 4 cancer patient as a last 'make a wish' thing. Like...some women (or men) will bring their childres to Disney. Or go on one last romantic trip with their Spouses, Etc. As much as it's a beautiful thing to donate money to Breast Cancer Research, I like the idea of having the money going to a specific person who will  be so thankful for the chance to have that one last wish!

Spree0629- Did you or your friend end up getting a dress? I was supposed to go to it as well but ended up buying a dress 2 days before at a 50% off sample sale. Left me curious as to how the BABC went In Boston and if a lot of people went and if people found "the one" there!
