THE DRESS

I am unsure as to what type of dress would look best on me. I know they say if you a triagnle, rectangle etc but I am not sure what shape fits me best. I am about 5'3 and wear a 16 in street clothes do not have a flat stomach just had twins less than 6 months ago and will not be able to try on many dresses. Can you help me with a style of dress?

I will be buying online as to I am pretty much homebound with my twins.

Well... thats hard to say... do you have any idea what shape you are? I hope you dont mind me asking.... If you dont want anything tight around your stomach... I would go with a flowy one.

There was one at davids Bridal that I liked that was flowy... but it wasnt right for me.

I didnt like any of the other dresses at Davids bridal because of the quality... but one was actually nice...

It goes up to a size 16. It's not available online however- but I'm mainly suggesting just the style of the dress.

What do you think? If you know what shape you are... I might be able to find something different if you dont like it.

I started (and ended) my dress shopping at David's Bridal because I knew they would have samples in my size. I am 5'5", a 14 street size, but 16 in David's sizes. They had numerous dress in different styles to try on in the 16 samples. I ordered a Galina tea length dress in ivory. PIB

Many bridal shops are also starting to stock larger sample sizes because of demand. I read somewhere that the average size woman in the US is a size 14.

Just go and try on different styles, even the ones you THINK may not look good on you.

I really think you need to go try on dresses to find out what looks best on you! Plus, it can be a fun experience! Have your honey watch the babies while you go out - it would be a shame if you ended up with a dress you didn't love.

This was one of my favorites at David's. ♥  FI hated it, though.
