Blue or Green.....

Alright I know this isn't a huge deal, but I want to nail something down today and I just want to get a few opinions from ppl who just won't tell me what they think I want to hear.

My sash on my dress and my MOH's dress are a sage green color.  My FI's shirt and my sons shirt are white with light blue.  My FFIL will be FI's BM and my dad is walking me, none of the guys are wearing tuxes or suits.  I want FFIL and my dad's shirt to match, long sleeved dress shirt, but I can not decide to have them wear light blue like the other boys, or to match them to our dresses in sage green?

What would you do?  I know either way it will look nice.  Or option 3, I could put FFIL in blue and my dad in the green.

  • Your dad and FFIL aren't part of the wedding party, and should be allowed to wear whatever they want.  They don't have to match (or even "go with") the wedding party.  They should, however, match the wedding party in level of formality (so if they groom ins't wearing a suit, then they shouldn't either).

  • Sorry, I missed the part where your FFIL is the best man.  Reading comprehension fail on my part.  In that case I'd have him wear a shirt that matches your fiance and your son.

  • My father is fashion challenged, and asked me to pick something out for him to wear.  He has been wearing a military uniform for so long that "normal" clothes are hard for him.

Just curious.....if none of the guys are wearing suits or tuxes, what ARE they wearing?
  • FI and DS are wearing Jeans and western shirts, FFIL and my dad are wearing dress shirts and slacks.  Then they can change into what ever they feel comfortable in.  It is not formal at all.
