Ribbon headbands?

These seem to be everywhere right now, and a lot of them are really beautiful. I'm just concerned they wouldn't stay on all night and would slip. I guess you could pin them. Anyone have experience wearing one of these for a long period?

My sister's flower girl in her wedding last summer wore this a.b. Ellie ribbon sash in her hair as a headband and you can imagine a 6 year old dancing around all night, hyped up on energy....and it didn't budge!
 
One thing, it was a double faced silk satin ribbon on the sash so the bow we secured it with was really tight in comparison to satin ribbon.

Honestly I think it depends on the head!  Satin just slides right off of my head.

I have seen some headbands at Walmart that have a no slip rubber strip. I wonder if you could add something like this to a ribbon to keep it from moving.
