Love two totally different dresses- HELP!

Went dress shopping today.

I bought one dress because I really liked it and it was on sale for $99, so I thought it would be stupid not to grab it. I can't fit into it yet- need to drop 2 sizes. If I don't lose weight, it would not look good and of course- won't fit!  It is this style:

Then went to the Alfred Angelo store and loved thissecond  dress. It is less formal and may fit our wedding setting (rose garden) better and it looks good on me even if I don't lose weight. I also love the pockets. It would be $799:

All depends on what you like...but if I were to guess by the way you described both of the dresses....you are surely much more in love with dress number 2. I do think it is quite beautiful...i love the bow in the back!

I love the first dress! The second one is pretty too.. but doesn't seem as special as the first one to me. Plus, it was $99 - you can't beat that! Though you definitely need to love your dress... and if you can't fit into it, you can't love it. However, I would hold off on buying the second dress if you think you might be able to fit into the first one and look good in it! If you think this is a reasonable goal for you, then wait. If you don't think you will lose the weight, then yes, you should probably buy the second dress. Good luck!

Dropping two dress sizes in 10 months is doable but a challenge.   I guess I would be nervous that I wouldn't get down to the size I need to be in time.  By the time you figure out that your down one size but not two, it might be too late to get another dress that you love.

I think I would vote for the second dress just to take the stress of dropping two sizes off your plate.

The second one is a new dress for this year, so it will be there all year until my wedding. I think I am going to give it 6 months. Hopefully dress #1 will fit by then and I can try them both on and decide then. Thanks!

Ooh they are both beautiful.  I think I lean toward the first one more.  Honestly, if it were me, I'd be living on egg whites and baby carrots to fit into the $99 dress

I like number two, but it's one of the dresses I want to try on so I'm a little bias!

I absolutely love #2!! It's beautiful.  #1 is gorgeous, but I notice that you say you liked it and loved the second one.  Get the one you LOVE!
